After doing lots of traveling in Europe, I have come to appreciate restaurants that aren't part of a chain, and thank goodness for a place like Carmine's! While the menu on the wall is a nice, interesting touch, I sometimes strain to look at it. And I process things by reading them, so it would be nice if they had a menu that they could give you if you were having trouble reading the wall! (kinda of like when you go to the chinese restaurant and you struggle using chop sticks so a fork is available if needed.) otherwise, MAGNIFICO!
Whenever we have out-of-town company we take them to Carmine's to share a meal. The Chicken Montana is well worth the calories and the Baked Ziti is the bomb.
The food is always fantastic but what puts this restaurant above all other Italian eateries is the knowledgable wait staff. Be it wine pairing suggestions or knowledge about the dishes they know thier stuff!!! 5 star for sure.
Love the family style dishes...would eat the Vodka raviolli everyday if I could. Reasonably priced you cant go wrong! Very romantic even while coloring on the tables!
