The Celts were warriors, who conquered Europe and adopted traditions from the Irish, Scottish, Welsh, Spanish and French. The cozy setting of the Celtic Tavern, with its mahogany walls, red leather couches, and antique bar provides a relaxing atmosphere f ... show moreor more intimate conversations. History aside, the comfortable atmosphere will beacon you to return, as Denver's newest European Tavern transforms itself into your second home.
From award winning fish and chips to grilled lamb sirloin there is something to please everyone. Lunch is served every Monday through Friday and weekends when the Rockies are in town. Dinner and late night menus are served seven nights a week.

Celtic Tavern
Great feel, good crowd, friendly, lots of fun. Large whisky and beer selection as is to be expected for a true Irish Tavern (built in Ireland and shipped to Denver). You can tell this is not a chain but rather a locally owned and operated pub. There is an owner working here most nights. What stands out is the food. Not just pub grub. We were told that they make everything in house. Top quality free range beef, trans fat free cooking oil are mentioned on the menu. They boast the best fish and chips in town and they are great. Also tried the double bone pork chop and I must say it was the best I have ever had (beats what you get in the big name steak houses for less than half the price). This is a high end kitchen with out the high end prices. No white table cloths but great innovative food and good prices. They do allow smoking in some areas. You can enjoy a good cigar and after dinner drink in a leather chair by the fire place. Most of the dinning area is smoke free and child friendly (as noted in the menu “parents please control your children or we will be required to give them an espresso and a puppy”).
