This place is DISGUSTING. I ordered tacos from here about 2 weeks ago, and i wanted to be sick just looking at them. The chicken was fatty and chewy- I mean, really GROSS. I work in the restaurant industry, so I am usually pretty forgiving when it comes to mistakes, but my friends food was the same way. She ordered a burrito, and couldn't take more than 2 bites of it. Really GROSS.
Chubby's used to have the best burritos in town. Now, you can pretty much expect something decent, smothered in way too hot or acidic of green chile. For a truly gourmet burrito, try Big City Burrito.
The Hampden location is tops in my book for breakfast burritos. Right next to a major coffee house. Park your car at Chubby's place your order, walk next door grab your coffee, come back and your breakfast burrito is ready to go.
CHUBBY'S HAS A VERY AUTHENTIC FLAVOR, AND I THINK THE LATE MRS.CORDOVA HAS ALWAYS TRIED HARD TO CATER THE THE NEIGHBORHOOD FOLKS THERE IN NORTH DENVER FOR YEARS. HOPEFULLY HER FAMILY WILL KEEP CHUBBY'S OPEN FOR YEARS TO COME. TRY SOME TODAY, BUT DON'T BLAME STELLA IF YOU GET FAT!!!! HA HA HA
