While Curious has built a reputation on producing Regional Premieres for Denver audiences, producing World Premieres is also central to our vision. We are committed to supporting the creation, development, and continued life of new plays for the American theatre, and we are proud to be the only professional theatre in Denver actively engaged in all levels of this process.
While we will strive to continue bringing Denver audiences Regional Premieres of the best new plays, we are also committed to developing ongoing relationships with playwrights, and to providing development and production opportunities to emerging as well as the established voices in contemporary theatre.
We aim to create an environment that supports and sustains the valuable work of American playwrights. From playwrights all across the country, we hear the same thing: getting a first production is much easier than a second or a third production.
They are innovative, talented and they take tremendous creative risks that ALWAYS turn out well. Plus they are accessible to the audiences. The talk backs that they host bring a tremendous sense of community to the audience.
Often challenging, always well performed, sets are great. It's been fun to watch the company grow and improve over the ten years of their short history.
