I have been tattooed here 3 different times over the years and have been extremely happy with my pieces and the artists themselves. These people are very knowledgeable and take the time to answer your questions about things. I've even recommended several friends to this place. They're wonderful & I'll continue to go here for my tattoo needs.

A friend recommended Emporium of Design for piercing. She herself took me there. My blood sugar was low after having just worked out. Piercer Dave and the folks at the front desk encouraged me to go eat and relax before my piercing. I'm glad I listened to them. Dave's attention to sterile technique is outstanding, both in practice, and in explaining how critical it is to the client. I heed his insistence on titanium over any other jewelry material. Dave is sure, steady, and knows what he's doing. When I had a complication due to my own negligence, he had me come back immediately to tend to it, explained in depth where I had gone wrong, and didn't charge me a thing. I wouldn't trust anyone else but Dave.

BUTCH BUTCH BUTCH!!! He is the reason why I love getting tattooed. If you go see Butch at the Emporium, you're gonna get what you want. He is great, the epitome of the word tattooer. He cares about his clients and even more about his job. It's like a great new experience getting tattooed by him. You won't be disappointed!

My best friend and I decided we wanted to get a tatoo on a Saturday night. It was already after 10 pm and we went to several other tatoo shops that closed between 11 and midnight and none of them would give us a small tattoo in our ear. We decided to try our luck once more at Emporium and they agreed to do our tattoo even though they wouldn't be done by closing time. Butch, the tattoo artist, gave my bestie and I two small colored flowers inside our ear and did not rush through it. We knew it was closing time but he took his time to make sure our tattoos were perfection! He rocks!!! I was super impressed with his skills and with how patient he was. He even offered to walk us back to our car since it was a late night on Colfax!!! He gave us a little history about the shop, chatted with us, and he is proud to work for the oldest Tattoo shop in Denver...and he made us proud to say we got our tattoo there with him. Thanks Butch!!!
