Kasa, designed by renowned architect, Edward Suzuki, features a ceiling made entirely of white Japanese umbrellas, gleaming marble tables and white bamboo climbing the walls behind a lighted bar.
The menu offers a mixture of skewered meats cooked over a rare charcoal grill (a Binchotan) used to enhance the true flavor of the meat. Also, sushi lovers can delight in impressive creations made nightly in the restaurant's sushi bar by Sushi Chef Takashi Saito. Owners Mimi and Kim, trained by Japanese Master Chef Kumagai, create traditional marinades and sauces with the hope that Kasa will bring diners closer to the true taste of Japan.

Fresh fish from Tsukiji in Japan twice per week, expert chef from Japan and knowledgeable staff make this THE place to go for anyone familiar with or wanting to experience traditional Japanese cuisine. Even able to accommodate a special order not on the menu ...
Our first visit, and we enjoyed friendly attentive service, a nice menu selection, excellent fish and sushi and a nicely designed restaurant. Always enjoy observing the owners of a restaurant who are working very hard to offer a nice meal in a pleasant atmosphere.
The owners came to our table and welcomed us. The entire Staff was friendly. The location on Pearl St. Mall was perfect for a nice walk after a great meal of noodles and sushi. The entire family enjoyed our first experience and we will be back again. You must try the Yakitor Sampler. I highly recommend this Boulder sushi secret.
Perhaps Kasa is one of the only secrets left in Boulder. This beautiful restaurant offers the best in food, atmosphere and service. If you haven't been here, you truly are missing out.
I have been there many times with groups of friends, dates, or even my nephew's birthday. The food has always been delicious, the sake list is intoxicating, and the service is excellent. Sitting outside is best, especially towards the evening--sun dresses along Pearl St., Colorado weather, and sweet, sweet Colorado smiles.
This place rocks. The Sushi Chef Saito, who used to own Sushi Tora, came out of retirement for Kasa and has really made this place the top sushi restaurant. They get fresh fish flown from Japan on Wednesdays and Fridays, which is no surprise when you taste how fresh and clean the fish is. Coming from the Bay Area in California, where top notch sushi is everywhere, we were excited and thankful to find this place. The owners, Kim and Mimi, make you feel at home. Go Kasa!
