After twenty-three years Lucile's is still providing the best breakfast we can find. As a family establishment Lucile's has always strived to provide a comfortable and unique atmosphere as well as excellent food. The original restaurant in Boulder Colorado resides in a small Victorian house painted our signature pale yellow. The menu is adorned with a photograph of the owner and his mother Lucile, the restaurants namesake. The Lucile's theme is "Lucile's Creole Café, Exploring Creole Cooking from Around the World," through which we have created an ambiance unlike any other breakfast restaurant. Zydeco, jazz or Cajun music is constantly floating through the dining room reminding you that we have taken a journey to New Orleans.

get the bignets and ask for "liquid crack" to pour on them (a type of syrup they make). I have never tased anything so good!!!!!!

I haven't had a bad meal at ANY of the Lucille's I've eaten at over the last 17 years! Their hollandaise sauce is to die for and every special I've tried has been excellent. Highly recommended... the place I take out of town visitors.

Lucille's has apparently been in Boulder for years. I had my first experience in Denver within the past year. Great coffee, great food. I especially loved the full-on NOLA-style omelette (don't remember the exact ingredients). Honorable mention to the Eggs Mazatlan at Pete's Univ.

This is the real deal with Southern/Cajun food for breakfast--go before Mardi Gras-- a real party with superlative food of its genre. Real delicate and tasty sauces and smoky meats. I think I'll go this Sunday.
