Is this even a competition? In my opinion, Marco's is far and away the best pizza in Denver. My favorite is the Abruzzo with vinegar and oil, but the tie for second is a very tight race, with the Del Rey pushing toward the front. To be honest, I have only tried the NY styles a couple of times, because I can't seem to tear myself away from the Napoletana style.
Also, trust me on this, try the wings, try the lasagna, hell, try everything. Don't forget the Nutella pizza for dessert. I absolutely LOVE this place...but it's not just the food, everyone at Marco's is super nice, which makes perfect sense with a guy like Marco running the show.
Fresh toppings, imported ingredients for authentic taste where it counts, and artfully balanced combinations; all on top of a thin, smoky crust. Don't miss the Nutella dessert pizza. Great service and a lovely patio seal the deal.
Hands down, the best pie in town. Beautiful chewy crust and
