Since opening the doors April 2, 1984, Murphy’s has strived hard to keep its place as one of Boulder’s favorite neighborhood restaurants. Started by Bruce Westhusin, the restaurant was one of very few north of Pearl Street and over 18 years established itself as a Boulder legend. In May of 2001, being long time employees and friends, we saw an opportunity to continue the tradition and purchased Murphy’s. Growing up in Boulder, we have seen the town go through quite a bit of change. Watching the local restaurant scene evolve has been very exciting. Food is being prepared fresher and more creatively than ever before. We too have joined this trend but have not forgotten the secrets of our success. Our goal has always been to provide creative and consistent food in a warm and friendly atmosphere. When you look around you may see customers from different tables visiting with each other. There’s also a good chance one of us at Murphy’s knows you as a familiar face. Our desire is that you feel relaxed and welcome here. After all, it’s your neighborhood.

Perhaps I don't quite understand 'Comfort food'....all I know is that Murphy's provides good food, good beer, and good ambiance whenever I've been there. A great place to start the w/e on a Friday evening!!!

We've been enjoying the down home pub atmosphere for over 20 years. Great burgers & Guiness! Their prime rib is simply superb. Lots to think about with their Murphy's Law signage.

Our children's' swim team have been regulars at Murphy's a couple times per week for years. The kids always get a filling meal, while parents enjoy wonderful specials and special wines in a comfortable atmosphere. And the smallest dessert in town is a hit!

We love eating at Murphy's! Their food and service are always consistent and good. We also enjoy the variety from soups, salads and burgers to pasta, burritos, and fish. One of our family favorites is the Pasta ala Murphy!
