Denver Photographer Roberta Lott-Holmes started taking pictures later in life when she realized there was so much joy in capturing life through a lens. She began photographing professionally in 2001 creating her Silent Expressions series I and II. These series view the Deaf world through photography, combining black and white photographs with American Sign Language.
In the years that followed she found herself acquiring “word of mouth” work in product and Denver special event photography. She was the official photographer for the Chaine de le Rotisserie from 2002-2005 and has been the special event photographer for the Bridgeway Home for Pregnant Teens since 2003. In 2007 she became an affiliated photographer for the "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep" organization.
One of her specialties is Denver wedding photography for the "budget" minded couple which led to the expansion of her portfolio to capture all the magic that makes a wedding day so special. After her own wedding in 2005, Roberta realized that she needed to help other brides, like herself, by offering exceptional photography at a reasonable cost.
Roberta's motto is Do What Brings You JOY. By day she is the Business Manager and Director of Development for Montclair Academy, a wonderful little Preschool through 8th grade school located in Lowry. By night, you can usually find her in front of the computer working on one of her many photography projects.

The Helms
Not only is Roberta an excellent wedding photographer -- she's awesome as a music photographer as well. She's taken stills of our band for two major photo shoots, including our latest CD cover, and both times the results were amazing.
Our first shoot was scheduled for the stage at Red Rocks, and at the last minute, we discovered they had double booked . . . we couldn't very well shoot with a wedding reception on the stage! There we were, 9 of us including band members and spouses, standing with our instruments and wondering what to do. Roberta handled the whole situation so expertly and left everyone with smiles on their faces! She found a beautiful alternate spot and created such interesting images that really captured the essence of the band.
At our second shoot, for our CD release, I gave Roberta very little information about what I wanted for the theme of the photos, because I really didn't have a clue. All I knew was that I had had a dream that there should peacock feathers on the cover. Roberta again kicked into gear and brought massive peacock feathers to the shoot, along with all of her great ideas! One of the stills ended up working so well that we used it for the cover, and I have gotten absolutely raving compliments on it since. I don't mean, "oh-that's-a-nice-cover" compliments. I mean, "oh wow, that's really cool, I totally love your CD cover, the feather looks so GREAT!" kind of compliments! I owe it all to Roberta. She is the best!
I have years of working in the wedding industry and was nervous about those working for my best friend in her wedding. Roberta is the best photographer I have seen work a wedding and her photos are beautiful!!
