I don't need to worry about my dog getting hurt when we are running around in the mountains.

We are new to Sit means Sit and we have two puppies 8 & 9 months. I read several books and even watched a training DVD and had some results, but not consistent and immediate. After our first lesson at Sit Means Sit we noticed a 180 degree turn around in our dogs listening and obeying the commands that we gave them. Our home is so much more calm, and we are excited to see what our continued training will accomplish for our dogs.

We have tried several 'tricks' to get our dog to walk with us and to listen to us. Nothing has worked till we went to Sit Means Sit. The first day the trainer had him walking nicely and not barking when he saw another dog. When we took our dog home that night and tried what we were taught - it worked.

This has been the best thing we have found for our dog.

The staff are knowledgeable and truly take pride in their work; their program is a 'lifetime' membership (of your pet) so any issues that come up - ever - they will help you with.

The first 2 years of our dog's life had no discipline and when we adopted him it was a struggle to walk him etc. I worked with him for almost a year and got him to respect authority, but after just one demo with Sit Means Sit, our dog really got the point that we, his owners, are in charge, not him. We are believers in Sit Means Sit and have recommended them to everyone we know.

The dog trainers are excellent. They are firm, yet compassionate and they've worked with many dogs with issues. It doesn't take long for even a very large dog to know that their handler means business. The dogs all do well and are happy and well adjusted. My eight month old Giant Schnauzer male (85 lbs) is hard headed and smart, but even he is excelling. Thank you, Anthony, Jon and David at Sit Means Sit! Lisa Martin

We have a VERY "spirited" Pointer/Border Collie mix whose energy was very hard to manage. After one training with Jon at Sit Means Sit, she was able to walk off leash, didn't pull on her leash and would obey our every command. My husband and I couldn't believe our eyes, it was a complete transformation. We often get comments on our walks and runs about what a well behaved and well trained dog she is. Sit Means Sit was the best investment we could have ever made, we just wish we would have started it sooner! Jon and Anthony are great!

I've tried two other training facilities prior, but my dog continued to jump on people and run off. Now, my dog listens and follows my commands, and I have the freedom of taking him running on the trails in Boulder "off-leash." I've had people comment on how well behaved he is, and saying things like, "what a good dog!", "wow, he really listens to you", and "I wish my dog could be that good," for the first time ever! He doesn't chase rabbits into the street, and doesn't go off on the scent of a deer or bear in the hills without my ability to get his attention and get him back with me almost immediately. I am going to enter him in their "Dock Dogs" contest during Broomfield Days next month, and go from there!

luke is so skilled at what he does and he tailors training to your dog's temperment and to the desires of the owner. He and his wife are readily available for questions outside of class in case you run into problems while doing your homework. this guy loves what he does.
