Ted & Tiffany Terroux, co-authors of "The Complete Family Dog," have over 40 years of combined professional experience with over 20,000 families in the Front Range. Ted uses practical and successful techniques to train canines. I took my dog to him and he was fabulous! Plus, he does not use any pain-inducing methods, like shock collar, which is clearly inhumane. Ted is the best!
Ted Terroux is the most experienced, compassionate yet firm trainer and lover of dogs I have ever been exposed to. He is kind and his experience shows the dogs (and owners) who is boss. He helps the puppies/dogs be comfortable with their insecurities by turning them into assests to their character. He helps the yappy, aggressive puppies/dogs become happy, secure beings. The basic training course was such a wonderful experience. Having to know a trick to pass the class was such a breath of fresh air...our dog now plays the piano on command!! His knowledge base is endless whether it be a bad habit, the proper dog food, or just basic hygiene. Best training, best price and it is really something when you have the quality of Ted, Tiffany and their staff. I will recommend them everytime. Just sit in on one of the training days and you will know why they are better than the rest.
We have taken both of our dogs to Ted (in 2007) and couldn't be happier with the results! We've had multiple compliments from neighbors and visitors alike that we have the best trained dogs in the neighborhood. Ted teaches you to communicate with your dog without harsh techniques and learn to read their signals so you have the skills to continue training in real world situations even after you've completed the class. He's always been wonderful about answering training questions years later too because he's committed to his customers and their continued success. Both of our dogs are from shelters/rescues and had some quirky behaviors from their uncertain pasts, so learning to "read them" was just as important as learning to train them, and Ted teaches you both. We've seen him in action with more difficult pets too and the results are simply unbelievable. You won't be dissapointed as long as you listen and put in the training time. We've referred several friends to him already and will continue to do so.
