Founded in 1972 and dedicated to excellence in the arts, The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) is a showcase for live theater, a nurturing ground for new plays, a preferred stop on the Broadway touring circuit, an award-winning multi-media production facility, a national training school for actors, and the site of a voice clinic and research facility.
The DCPA has two theatrical divisions. The Denver Center Attractions presents eight-to-12 Broadway touring productions each year and long-running cabaret shows.
The Denver Center Theatre Company, a Tony Award-winning regional theatre, produces and presents 8-to-10 classical, American and new plays each season.
It is a so beautiful! Each time I go there I love the feeling of being in the heart of Denver's finest entertainment. It makes me glad to be an artist in Colorado.
I LOVE this theater! When I'm in it, there's nowhere else I'd rather be. It's just an amazing, beautiful place. I owe SO MUCH of my passion for theater to it!
I like the Center's commitment to have one Shakespeare play a year, to sponsor new and original plays, to offer such a diverse selection of performing arts events, to present such top quality, highly professional performances in terms of acting, set and lighting design, costumes, and overall productions.
