The Egg Shell of Cherry Creek
Category: Breakfast (66 listings)
A local Denver treasure. The prices at Egg Shell are just as good as the meals. Stay for lunch, if you have room after breakfast.

The service is exceptional. We have become regulars. I like a specific breakfast that is not on the menu, and they are wonderful about accommodating my requests. PLUS, they leave a pot of coffee and a picture of water at the table so you can fill up as you choose! I much prefer this to having to flag down a wait staff to fill my coffee cup. :)
This place is one of our favorites.

I read the reviews and was expecting more than average, and did not get it. The wait was unnecessary, it was a function of inefficient front management. I love eggs benedict and use it as a test of a restaurant. The eggs portion of the dish are to be poached; they were fried over easy as served to me. The hollandaise sauce is simply mediocre, not even up to standard of a little diner in northern British Columbia. Sorry, but while a nice, clean, and family accepting place, it is an average restaurant with nothing standing out=bland, which may be okay for some folks when they want to eat out for breakfast.

I have to tell you, it is one of my three favorites, but the other two are not (amazingly) on the A-List for breakfasts: 730 South (on S. University) and Hotcakes on 18th and Humboldt.
