During the 1970's many of the historically significant areas of downtown Denver were replaced with skyscrapers and high-rises. The last bastion of Denver's historic past was kept intact between 14th and 15th streets on Larimer Street. In 1983 Mark and Gary Greenberg transformed the fledgling grocery store into Denver's most recognizable deli and espresso bar. This is a fun coffee shop/deli/bakery right off of the Writers Square. They have many gourmet and unique coffee beverages and desserts. I started going there in college, and still enjoy their coffee 15 years later. Definitely one to try out!

A wonderful local bakery right in the heart of downtown! They make the best cake ever there too -- "Spring Fling". It's kind of pricey, but OH so delicious!

There's nothing in this world as good as their cakes -- you'll love the Spring Fling; it's spectacular and it's the least expensive wedding cake in Denver.
