The Parlour Denver, just one of 5 locations, is in historic lower downtown Denver across from Union Station. With its wooden beams, exposed brick walls and high ceilings, this Parlour location is filled with individualism and a flare for the creative spirit. We house 22 stylists and an esthetitian catering to both men and women. Our other locations are in the Highlands, Estes Park, Fort Collins, and Boulder. A Washington Park location is coming soon!!
The Parlour is known for it's advanced education program, attracting bright, education-minded stylists that are career and goal-oriented. Our program has evolved into a 7-phase program with 10 in-house Phase Education Directors, and 20 Co-phase Directors, all brought up within the Parlour organization. We are continually improving and evolving our programs by traveling all over the U.S. and abroad, to developing continuing education opportunities for the Parlour's team.
Our education team influences people from all over the world, working for companies such as American Crew, Modern Organic Products, Trucco, Wella International, AG, and Unite.

Constructive criticism note to owner:
Please take control of the music downtown. Get rid of the club mixes and the thumpity thump music and for the love of pete, control the volume! I go there to relax, not party. It's noisy enough with all those stylist crammed together. The louder that music gets, the louder the stylists get. Sometimes I feel like I'm shouting in a bar just to relay my haircutting needs. Its for that reason that I switched to a more relaxing, neighborhood salon. I've read these similar complaints in reviews before. I asked my stylist who controls the music and she said one of the other stylists does and that she doesn't allow anyone change it! The music is just not appropriate for a relaxing, mature salon environment. Maybe start taking these reviews to heart?
I hate to leave you an "awful" rating. But the truth is....I find my experience there to be just that ONLY because of the music experience I've had.
The Parlour is great. I've been going to the downtown location for seven years and to the one in Ft. Collins prior to that. Be sure to ask for Lindsey Morgan. She is excellent!
The Parlour has high standards for their stylists. They employ a number of rock stars in the world of hair. My personal fave is Gabe at Parlour Highlands!
I have always had great hair cuts and colors there and have been going for years. I have very thick hair that is hard to deal with and they always make it look great!
I have spent over a year looking for a new stylist and I finally found a talented professional! There was plenty of on-street parking out front and the salon workers even helpfully reminded me to stock the meter. The gals at the reception desk were friendly and helpful and offered me a beverage straight away. I had a very brief wait for my stylist in a comfy and cozy yet somehow modern space. Looking around I saw that this salon was impeccably clean. Not a hairball to be found. Van soon appeared, though my appintment time was still 15 minutes away. He started the conversation with what I was looking for and we looked at a few pictures I had brought and agreed on what he should do with the cut today. (I have a lot of superfine hair and he really knew how to handle this hair type) His assistant gave a very soothing wash and detangler with a scalp massage that was absolutely divine! Van has a very professional yet upbeat demeanour and a great flair for hair cutting. (no gossipy drama here) He noticed all of the quirks of my hair without me having to point out each and every one. My hair cut came out PERFECT!!! I can take off my bike helmet and it still looks great plus it really looks phenomenol when I actually do something with it. THIS IS EXACTLY HOW A FABULOUS HAIRCUT IS SUPPOSED TO PERFORM!!! :) My hats off to you, Van. I will be sending everyone I know your way! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! (Under-priced for this level of skill!!! )
It looks like I came to vote at the right time! I have actually had a color correction at the parlour and I wouldn't reccomend anywhere else! They have stylists that actually work for the haircolor line and knew what was best for my hair. It was a very slow process, and I had to be very patient. I think some people can't get what they want because they want IMMEDIATE results. Color corrections are never that way and you have to be patient. Realizing that what the stylists tell you is for your hairs' best health, not because they don't know what they're doing. I highly reccomend the parlour for whatever service you need, even body waxing! Just because one person left disapointed doesn't mean they're not a great salon!
I have been to two locations of The Parlour and was disappointed every time. Color correction is difficult and only top notch stylists can do it properly. I have spent thousands between trips to this salon and have always ended up going else where to have it redone. Very expensive and even more disappointing! I would NOT recommend this salon for color correction. As far as other services, I'm not sure. I gave up after being so disappointed.
