As someone who has lived in over a dozen cities, tHERe Bar ranks as the friendliest coffee bar I have run across. When offered a job in Denver I had tons of reservations. One stop to tHERe Bar and a conversation with bartender/barrista Kari convinced me that Denver was a city with much to offer. Someone at the Denver tourist board should really put her on the payroll! I have now lived here for two months, not regreted the move for a minute and make tHERe Coffee Bar & Lounge my #1 hang out spot.

Phenomenal atmosphere and staff. Neighborhood bar where everyone really does know your name, and your favorite drink. Great place to study and relax with coffee during the day. Highly skilled bar tenders serve up delicious drinks at night. A central place to meet other lesbians and queer people in Denver.

In regards of below comment, it depends who is behind the bar whenever Anna is there even an idiot would notice her proper food & beverage training. I mean seriously who says "my pleasure" and "may i" in a bar?!? She always goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Last week a customer asked her for a chilled wine glass and she CHILLED one for her. She even apologized for taking so long to chill!!! That's just crazy, if it was me i would have just said NO it's cheap wine just drink it, but not Anna! That's why i rate tHERe AMAZING because of Anna!

This place is the epitome of a great coffee bar: loft space, futons, board games, great art on the walls. I love the versatility of it. I can study and have coffee during the day and cocktail in the evening. It is a beautiful place with beautiful people.

The only place where a bartender would go out of her way to get a WNBA game on even if she downloaded it on her computer! Annemarie is a class act, a polite young lady with excellent bartending skills. My first experience at tHERe was a 5 STAR one!

When you go tHERe you have choices: coffee, italian sodas, beer, top shelf alcohol, the best bloody mary you'll ever have,martinis that simply are DIVINE. Above all you have the best bartender i've ever seen AnneMarie!

I have heard mixed reviews about tHERe and finally a few nights ago i have decided to check it out. I was greeted with a friendly welcome and i will be right with you, less than a minute later AnnaMaria ( after making this amazing martini ginger something) she asked me what i would like and if it was my first time there. After she served me my drink, taste & presentation perfect package, she told me about tHERe and introduced me to everyone at the bar so not only did i come to a welcoming bar with a 5 star bartender but i met some amazing people. When i have asked her if she owns the place, as that kind of dedication and love can only come from an owner, she graciously responded that she works there and that Jody owns the bar. You have to be pretty lucky as a bar owner to have someone like AnnaMaria working for you. tHERe is truly the place to be if you want an amazing drink, great attentive service and meet new cool people.

I feel IT is the modern art lounge. They have surrounded you with wonderful art to fest your eyes on. Not only that, they keep you entertained with music, drink specials, and events year round.

tHERe is the most personable, warm gay and lesbian bar in Denver. Because the staff are so welcoming, people who are new to the community have a much easier time feeling welcome and meeting new people (I know, that was me!). They also host all kinds of different evenings- music, card games, etc., so there is something for everyone. Plus, they have creative and tasty drinks!
