I'm not a big dessert fan, but when I discovered these guys, I became one quickly. I go there at least once a week for one of my favorites (and there are many!). I especially like their Almondine Croissant...indescribably good!

When you want first class service, ambience, and food, go to J's where excellence is the order of the day. When I want to take the wife out for a first class romantic evening, it's where I go. It's great for business clients as well, either or work wonderfully here.
The steak is the best in town, too! I went on a filet expedition, to all the big name ones in town. I probably shouldn't mention their names so I won't, but let's just say that after about 6-8 of them, I gave up trying to beat J's. Cooked medium over their wood fired open flame grill (which gives it the most wonderful flavor), topped with their Maitre d' Garlic Butter (you have to ask for it that way), with a loaded baked potato, Caesar Salad, fresh bread and whipped butter, along with a wonderful selection of wines (or a perfect-every-time Long Island Iced Tea), I simply don't think there's anything that can beat it in Denver!

Holy schnikees, Jabos has the very best pulled pork sandwich in town, bar none. They have a really neat selection of sauces, from the standards to the exotic which are oddly enough quite good - things like mango, cherry, etc. They'll bring an assortment out for you to try each one and then mix as you like. I personally get the standards medium and hot mixed. Small, quaint, local...I love to support them 'cuz it's that good!

Maggi's surpasses all known limits when it comes to putting everything into one package - awesome food, menu selection, ambience (decor and Frank Sinatra are magnifoco!), service, and value. Their lasagna with diavlo sauce is to die for, and we just love the wonderful variety, especially when doing family style for a larger group - wonderful!

Oh my. I was blown away when my friend turned me onto Rumbi's, and I have since turned quite a few more onto it. The unique Hawaiian theme and its ambience, wonderful dishes, great service, and good value make it a wonderful change of pace. I especially like how you order at the counter, they bring it out to you and ask you if you need anything else, and you leave your dishes. It's not traditional table service where you feel obliged to leave a tip, but I sometimes do just because. I absolutely love their blackened mahi dish, as well as their Hawaiian Chicken sandwich - yum!

Wow, people are passionate about pizza - about 'their' kind of pizza they like. Il Vicino serves the kind we like best - on the thin side (but not flimsy, paper thin), wood fired, sauce that's more garlic flavored than sweet, and fresh, tasty ingredients. We also love the ambience, the service, the wine, and the value.

Best steak chimichanga, best chips & salsa, best margaritas, best tortillas, best variety, best atmosphere, and best service. Their blackened mahi dish is out of this world! Presentation and artistry are very good here too - many mexican restaurants serve a plate of stuff just running together, but not at Hacienda - the food comes to your table looking like someone took some pride in how it looks.

We love Sam's because the food is awesome, and the nostalgia is just way too cool!
