They've grown too big and lost what they once had. The food is no longer consistant. Visit the location on west Colfax and you'll never return to a Brother's BBQ, but stop by the original and if you're lucky, you might just have the best 'q' you've ever tasted.

It's just darn good food - every time. The location is not the best, the prices are not the best, the waitstaff are friendly but not the best servers, but the FOOD makes all those other things unimportant, because it is EXCELLENT and CONSISTANT!

Old tired designs selling by name recognition only. The staff are boring salespeople with no real jewelry background, just artist wannabes pushing designs that should have been retired years ago. It's a shame that this is what's left of what was once destined to be a great legacy. If you "found exactly what you were looking for" it's because you've seen it before somewhere else and it was familar, not original.

The best thing the owners could do for this business is fly the employees to New York for real pizza 'cause they aren't even getting close to "New York Style" The sauce is bland and the slices are served on what tastes like a cracker. I had a slice with mushrooms at the new Arvada location and toppings were cold and fell off the slice when I "tried" to fold it over to eat. It was cheap enough to be laughable, but annoying all the same. Needless to say, I won't be going back.

We used to love La Fonda restaurant. It was never the least expensive, but always had the best food for many years. Plus the owners were always so nice and the service in general was decent.
Sadly over the past 5 years we've noticed a sharp decline in the quality of the food. It just kept getting worse and worse and eventually we could no longer make excuses for our favorite Mexican restaurant. The last few meals we had were simply awful. It's almost like they just stopped caring. I keep hoping that things will return to the way they used to be, but I've been burned so many times that I'm still not willing to take the family back to test that theory. I wouldn't eat there if it were free. Sorry guys, I think your run is over.

Terrible! I used to go to Benny's back when the food was excellent and cheap. Now it's overpriced and more often bad than good. I'm curious about all the positive reviews, it makes me think that the employees and their friends are posting because anyone who actually goes to Benny's knows the truth. It really used to be a great place, but they've lost sight of what made them great back in the 90's. I hope they can get back some of the magic.
