Simply wonderful. Go eat their pizza right now. And tip the servers... it's not a hobby.

It is unfortunate that the popularity of the DCPA means that small venues like Miner's Alley are often overlooked. The theatre is intimate, the productions are delightful, and the staff is friendly. The simple fact that the audience is so close to the perfomance makes them feel a part of it. And the quality of the shows is belied by the low ticket price. I was crying with laughter in Not Now Darling and more scared by the staged version of Misery than I was during the movie. With every production, Miner's Alley continues to up the ante. This is a quality theatre, and not a venue to miss.

The reputation of the Tattered Cover precedes it, a review is almost unnecessary. A huge selection of books, books I would never expect to find, and a great fun atmosphere make this the best place to get my literature on. I was admittedly disappointed at their move from Cherry Creek, but I've come to realize that this store is just as good, if not better, than the old one. Excellent excellent store.

There is no better doggy hotel in Denver, in Colorado, in the world. Period. They offer friendly service and top-notch pet facilities. The one problem with Beds-n-Biscuits? I think my dog might like being there more than he likes being at home...

Julie Harris took my senior photos and I could not be more happy. There was such a diversity in the photos -- from traditional portraits to unconventional conceptual pieces -- that all my portrait needs have been met for the next year or two. As an actor, I can easily convert some of them to headshots, and plenty of people at school have asked me where I got my photos taken, because Julie's photographs were obviously the best. I wish I could adequately describe just how beautiful her work is, but a picture is worth a thousand words, so you should go to her website to look. I know who will be taking my wedding photos, assuming she is not working for Vanity Fair or Vogue by then ;)

When I listen to the Flobots, I feel like I'm doing more than just listening to music. Their lyrics are educated and often funny. Their street team doesn't promote the band as much as they try to get people involved in the community. Their website is full of ways for people to get involved, and their video for the song "Rise" features nonprofit organizations. The Flobots are truly trying to make a difference in the world, and if that's not enough to garner your respect, their music will undoubtedly get you there. Throw in the fact that they are all incredibly nice people, always willing to talk to fans, and they are an easy easy choice for your vote.

There's a lot to love about New Energy Salon. I have yet to walk out of there disappointed. I love that I can trust them enough to leave my hair completely in my stylist's hands (which belong to the very capable and talented Amy Randall) and I will always come out looking like a million bucks. But going to New Energy Salon is not just another errand to run, it feels more like visiting friends. I have yet to find more personable stylists or a more efficiently-run salon. They've never been late for an appointment, and my hair has never taken longer than I expected. To top it all off, they play actual music there, and it's good music too: from The Beatles to the Flobots. This might not seem like a big deal, but when your color is setting under a heat lamp, the last thing you want to hear is an instrumental cover of a light-rock hit. All in all, I cannot recommend this salon more highly. I will never go anywhere else.
