Valente’s opened in 1964 and has since been owned and operated by the Valente family.
Three generations of Valente's work in the restaurant where we insist on superior service, use original family recipes, and make our pasta and sauces from scratch.
Our restaurant is our home and when you arrive you are treated like family. We pride ourselves in our authentic atmosphere that is unlike any Italian chain restaurant.

You go to Valente's like you would go to the house of an old friend. The staff relates to you without pretension. Frequent visitors are greeted by their names. At least one of the waiters is there 10 years and he epitomizes the laid-back amiability of the staff in general. Ray senior,the boss, is often on hand to greet you. Food is consistenly to your approval and the staff will readily improvise from the menu if you want to do some tinkering. No rigidity here. Ambience is to my taste --- somewhat retro in that you think of that place your parents used to take you to back home in the 50s. Lighting just the right dimness (for me). The atmosphere was made for holding a conversation with your table mate(s).. Best Manhattan this side of the South Platte. V's upstairs gives a variation on ambience with its own appeal. Like eating potato chips where you can't just take one ---- you won't just go to Valente's once but you'll make it a habit.

EXCELLENT food, with very diverse traditional Italian favorites, as well as some unique "Valente's" specialties...."The Old Fashioned" pizza, their "Rudy" sandwich, "Italian Wedding Soup,".....and of course, the "Cavetilles" are the best in town! One of the most individual touches would be......over the years, Ray Sr. has asked for customers to jot their name and phone number on the back of their table receipts. The next day, Ray takes the time to make a personal call to customers, asking for feedback on their experience and thanking them for their patronage. What a great way to embrace loyal customers!

I have been going to this restaurant since I was 7, my father was a doctor and knew alot of the families that went there and they took us alot and soon it became a family favorite and now its our family favorite. I love everything on the menu cant pick a favorite.

Absolutely the best red sauce in Denver!! We've been eating at Valente's for many, many years and have never been disappointed. The chicken parmesan is fantastic and the Chef always offers a wonderful presentation of the food. Down-home great Italian food, in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere; and the Valente's are always gracious hosts! Don't miss it!!

The cavatelli with marinara is worth the 100 miles I drive to get there from the mountains. Like any real neighborhood place, much of the enjoyment comes from having your favorite dish, the way you like prepared, and served by a staff that treats you like they care.
