A Yoga Style Primer
There is no one definitive style of asana yoga, each has its own unique characteristics. With a little education and a clear understanding of yoga tradition, you can make a wise decision about which is right for you. Although there are general “styles” of yoga, individual teachers use their own teaching methodology and experiences to approach teaching their yoga traditions. You can often discuss your injuries and comfort level with your prospective teacher or studio representative and they should be able to point you in the right direction, and if they can't...you might want to consider trying somewhere that has a knowledgeable staff. It is also a good idea to give a particular style a chance if it is the right pacing for you and try several teachers because it can take a while to integrate anything new into your life and guaging anything by one experience is never a good idea.
At Ya Ya Yoga we offer a variety of styles, so that you can find one that may suit your needs, your lifestyle and your body type.
We have some of the most amazing teachers in South Denver with an average teaching experience of at least 5 years.

There truly are not enough good things to say about Denise and how beautiful Ya Ya is. ---Anne-Marie
Denise was my first Yoga teacher back before the she opened the studio. Unlike some studio's that only offer one style YaYa gives you the opportunity to explore many different types and teachers. I've had the opportunity to practice Vinyasa, Asthtanga, Khundalini, Ienygar, Anusara, Hatha and Yin, all with some amazing teachers. Some I like better then others but all the classes have opened new Yoga doors for me. Thanks YaYa!
